A house built
around a single bar.
Solène was made for a single moment: the one where you stand at the sink, warm water running, and wash the day off your skin. We thought that moment deserved a more beautiful object than a plastic pump bottle.
So we made one thing, and tried to make it properly. The Cleansing Bar is cold-pressed from French kaolin clay and a small composition of plant botanicals, then cut by hand. It lathers into a soft, fine cream and rinses clean. No bottle, no pump, no plastic — just a considered bar you reach for morning and night.
We don't make a hundred products. We make this one, in small batches, and we tell you exactly what is in it. That is the whole idea.

Made in small batches
Hand-cut, a little at a time, so each bar is properly made.

The Founder
Emma Nittolo
Emma grew up in French Canada with a love of the outdoors and an instinct for the simplest, most natural things. That instinct followed her — through years as a wellness coach, and a move from Canada to New York and then to the coast of Southern California, where her mornings still begin by the ocean.
She has always believed that the smallest daily habits are the ones that shape a life, and that the ritual of caring for yourself deserves beautiful, honest things made from what the earth already offers.
When Emma became a mother, that conviction sharpened. She wanted the everyday act of washing her face to feel like a small, deliberate pleasure — and to know exactly what was in the bar she reached for. When she couldn't find it, she made it. Solène is that bar.
“I wanted the most ordinary moment of the day to feel considered — and made of things I could name.”
